Now Hiring: 150-acre retail and housing development to host job fair in Fifth Ward along Buffalo Bayou on September 19!

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – A 150-acre retail and housing development, which began last year in the Fifth Ward district, will take a job on Monday, September 19.

ABC13 first reported this development in 2021. The view of this area is as Houston’s River Walk.

“We’re really focused on creating a very attractive outdoor environment across all of our projects,” said Anna Deans of Midway Developers in Houston. “There will also be 360 multi-family units.”

Planners said the site, called East River, would have great views of downtown. It will be across from Minute Maid Park, adjacent to Jenson Drive to the east, Clinton Drive to the north, and Buffalo Bayou to the south.

The multi-million dollar project will be a mix of living spaces, retail and office spaces with a path to walking trails along Buffalo Bayou.

They will be hiring for janitorial, security and craft jobs. The job fair will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Saint Arnold Brewing Company on Lyons Avenue.
